Usage Restrictions

Permitted Uses

• Use Tanker to build, host, and deploy unlimited projects or end-products for your clients.
• Modify, customize, and extend the Tanker source code to create derivative works, subject to the restrictions of this license.
• Use Tanker as the foundation to build, launch, and operate Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications or commercial platforms where end-users interact with the final product.

Prohibited Uses

• Resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the boilerplate code, its components, or modified versions thereof as a standalone product, template, or starter kit.
• Share, distribute, or make public your license keys, access credentials, or download links.
• Remove, obscure, or alter any Tanker attribution, copyright notices, or proprietary markings within the core source code.
• Redistribute, publish, or leak the source code, either in its original or modified form, in public repositories (e.g., public GitHub repos), forums, or file-sharing platforms.
• Use Tanker to create, train, or distribute competing developer tools, boilerplate codebases, scaffolding templates, or AI-powered boilerplate generators.
• Use the code in violation of any applicable local, national, or international laws, regulations, or third-party intellectual property rights.

Intellectual Property

• The Product, including but not limited to all source code, design assets, documentation, architecture, and AI integration templates, remains the exclusive intellectual property of Tanker.
• This Agreement grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable worldwide license to use the Product; it does not transfer any ownership, copyright, or intellectual property rights to you.

Warranty Disclaimer

• The Product is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
• Tanker does not guarantee that the Product will meet your specific requirements, that its operation will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all third-party software, or that all code vulnerabilities will be patched immediately.

Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tanker or its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption.
• Tanker explicitly disclaims any liability arising from:
  • Your use, misuse, or inability to use the Product.
  • API changes, service outages, or pricing fluctuations of third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic).
  • Hallucinations, data breaches, or compliance issues arising from AI model operations or data processing.
  • Financial losses incurred due to deployment errors or bugs in your end product.

Term and Termination

• This Agreement remains effective until terminated by either party.
• Tanker reserves the right to terminate your license immediately and without notice if you fail to comply with any terms of this Agreement (including Usage Restrictions).
• Upon termination, your right to use the Product ceases instantly. You must immediately stop using the code, remove it from all active projects, and destroy all copies (including backups and local repositories) of the Product in your possession.

Support and Updates

• Your license includes access to community support and reasonable email support. Support is strictly limited to the original codebase of the template and does not cover custom modifications, debugging your business logic, or third-party infrastructure setup.
• All updates, feature additions, bug fixes, and improvements are provided at Tanker's sole discretion. Tanker is under no obligation to provide continuous updates or maintain compatibility with older software versions.
